About the performers

Levon Karapetyan (piano)
Levon Karapetyan was born in 1989 in Yerevan in a musical family. From 2004-2007 Levon Karapetyan studied at the Yerevan State Komitas Conservatoire in the class of Sergey Qechek. In 2014-2015 he undertook a postgraduate study at the Strasbourg Music Academy (classes of Professor Amy Lin and Professor Laurent Cabasso). In 2014-2015 Levon took master-classes with renowned pianists Boris Berman and Bernard d'Ascoli. His first CD was released in the USA in 2010. Since 2011 Levon has been a member of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Foundation.
Prizes include a 2004 diploma at the Vladimir Horowitz Republican Competition. In 2005 he was a prize-winner at the Alexander Spendiaryan Republican Competition. In 2013 he won the Youth Award of the President of the Republic of Armenia. Has played concerts in Armenia and internationally.
