David Cassan

David Cassan was born in 1989 in Normandy. He studied with Thierry Escaich, Pierre Pincemaille, Philippe Lefebvre, François Espinasse, Jean-François Zygel and Erwan Le Prado at the Conservatoire de Caen, the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris and the Conservatoire national supérieur musique et danse de Lyon.

David Cassan received the awards from the international competitions of Chartres (France), St Albans (Great Britain), Haarlem (Netherlands), Pierre Pincemaille (France), André Marchal (France), Boëllmann-Gigout (France), Merklin (France), Westfalen Impro (Detmold, Germany), Schwäbisch Gmünd (Germany) as well as the Grand Prix Jean-Louis Florentz at the Le Printemps des orgues competition in Angers (France, 2012).

He is the titular organist at the l’Oratoire du Louvre in Paris. Regularly gives masterclasses around the world (St Petersburg, Beijing, Bern, Milan, Lausanne and Paris among others).

Today he leads a busy schedule performing as a soloist with prestigious ensembles (such as the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre National de Lyon, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse) throughout France and in Germany, Great Britain, Russia, China, Israel, Latvia, Estonia, Spain, Iceland, Uruguay, the Netherlands, Ireland, Portugal, Luxembourg, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland.

Teaches organ at the Conservatoire régional du Grand Nancy and improvisation at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés.
