Video Designer
Ian is a designer, director and filmmaker working with both film and live performance.
His work as a video designer and filmmaker for the opera includes Eugene Onegin (English National Opera), The Flying Dutchman (Scottish Opera), Sancta Susanna, Von Heute Auf Morgen (Opera de Lyon), Wo Die Wilden Kerle Wohen (Bremer Oper), Hotel de Pekin (Nationale Resiopera), The Lion's Face, Seven Angels, Babur in London (The Opera Group), Xerxes (English Touring Opera), Les Enfants Terribles, Hotel of Dream (Arcola Grimeborn).

In a previous life, Ian toured the world as a musician and has directed music videos and designed for concerts. He is part of Mesmer, a collective of video and projection designers working across the atre, dance, music, fashion and art. He is also an associate artist of the the atre company Lightworks and the artistic director of the the atre/film crossover company Cut Chorus.
