Sergei Zemlyansky


Born in Chelyabinsk in 1980. Graduated from the Chelyabinsk State Academy of Culture and Arts as a choreographer and teacher (2002). Undertook master-classes from European and American teachers and choreographers. From 2001 to 2005 he was a dancer with Tatiana Baganova’s Provincial Dances theatre (Yekateinburg). From 2006–2014 he worked with the SounDrama studio of Vladimir Pankov in Moscow. As a choreographer he has created over twenty productions at drama theatres in Russia. In 2012 he staged a production of the play Mother Earth at the Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre, since which time he has worked as a stage director.
