Elena Zheleznyakova


Soprano

Born in Samara. Graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2003 (class of Yevgenia Perlasova).
At the Musical Theatre of Opera and Ballet of the St Petersburg Conservatoire she has performed the role of Iolanta (Iolanta). Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers since 2003.

Swan-Princess (The Tale of Tsar Saltan)

Guard of the Entrance to the Temple and the Empress’ Servant (Die Frau ohne Schatten)

Her repertoire also includes: Iolanta (Iolanta), Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Natasha Rostova (War and Peace), Volkhova (Sadko), Marfa (The Tsar’s Bride), Lyudmila (Ruslan and Lyudmila), the Snow Maiden (The Snow Maiden), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Amina (La sonnambula), Micaëla (Carmen), Violetta (La traviata), Elvira (Ernani) and Francesca da Rimini (Francesca da Rimini).

With the Mariinsky Opera Company Elena Zheleznyakova has toured to Japan and Slovenia.
