• Prize-winner at the Vaganova-Prix Competition (1995).

Born in Pinsk, Belarus.
Graduated from the Byelorussian State Ballet School (class of Professor Koliadenko).
Joined the Mariinsky Theatre in 1996. Became a Principal Dancer in 1998.

In 2002, Igor Kolb made his Opera di Roma debut as Prince Dèsirè in The Sleeping Beauty (Rudolf Nureyev´s version).
In 2006 he made his debut at the Wiener Staatsoper as Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake (Rudolf Nureyev´s version).

Has toured with the Mariinsky Ballet Company throughout Russia and abroad.

On 24 October, instead of the planned performance of the opera Duke Bluebeard’s Castle and an evening of piano music, at 15.00, the Mariinsky Theatre will now be staging a premiere of the opera Věc Makropulos (The Makropoulos Affair).

On 28 October
, the opera Die Frau ohne Schatten at the Mariinsky Theatre will now commence at 18.00 and not at 19.00 as previously announced.
