• In line with the results of a survey by Dancer of Europe magazine, in 2005 he was named “Dancer of the Year”.
Born in Leningrad (St Petersburg).
Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet (class of K. V. Shatilov) in 1998. Joined the Mariinsky Ballet Company the same year.
